In this series you will discover that God builds with sons and not servants. Sons have a different mentality from servants. Moses served in God’s house as a servant but Jesus, as a son. How are you serving in God’s house-as a servant or as a SON? To mention a few characteristics of sons and servants: – SONS HONOUR NATURALLY AND AUTOMATICALLY THE CHAINS OF COMMAND, SERVANT/HIRELINGS CONTINUALLY CHALLENGE AND NEED REMINDING OF DEFINITIONS OF CHAINS OF AUTHORITY. –SONS HONOUR THE HEADSHIP AND COVER THE NAKEDNESS OF THEIR FATHERS. THEY DON’T DELIGHT IN EXPOSING THE SPIRITUAL NAKEDNESS OF THEIR FATHERS.
– SONS USE THE LANGUAGE OF FAMILY, SUCH AS (WE, US) because THEY ARE FAMILY-ORIENTED, SERVANTS, SLAVES, HIRELINGS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES USE INDIVIDUAL TERMINOLOGY such as (ME, I , THEY, HE, THEM) because THEY ARE SELF-AMBITIOUS AND MINISTRY ORIENTED. They mistake ambition for vision.
Question is: Are you as a son or a servant? John 1:12 says, ‘But as many as received him, to them gave He the power to become sons of God……’, not just children, but sons [mature]. Romans 8:14 reads, ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God [the mature ones, not children].’ Sons are led by the Spirit; servants are led by the flesh.
